A temporary road closure will be in operation on Mauldin Street (L2676) tonight (Thursday) until 1.30am.
The temporary road closure is to enable emergency repair works to the water mains, on Maudlin Street near the John Street Upper junction.
The latest disruption follows a turbulent day for traffic in Kilkenny.

Roads and infrastructure were heavily affected by protests over the price of petrol, diesel, and agricultural diesel. The M9 Motorway in Kilkenny was blocked this morning at the Danesfort exit northbound.
Diversions will be in place, with local access managed by a convoy vehicle from the Dublin Road (R712) junction with Maudlin Street.
