Kilkenny records the warmest day of the year in Ireland - so far!

The temperature in Kilkenny reached 21.7°C yesterday, according to data from Niall Dollard of Kilkenny Weather.

This beats the twenty-five Met Éireann stations for warmest day of the year so far.

The highest temperature ever recorded for May was 28.4°C at Ardfert Liscahane, County Kerry, in 1997.
