Kilkenny is 'right in the firing line' of Storm Agnes, Kilkenny weatherman Niall Dollard has warned.

"Pretty much consistency now between the various models that Storm Agnes will track northeast-ward across Ireland on Wed from Kerry to Belfast," he told followers.

"This means Kilkenny will be right in the firing line. Attached image (above) shows potentially worst case gusts of well over 100kph.

"The storm is expected to be at its worst in the early afternoon and with trees still in full leaf, it will make travelling hazardous."

Dollard told followers to stay tuned to Met Éireann for updates on the wind warnings.
