Low rainfall expected as summer weather fast approaching after another wet week

Feels like that summer weather has being coming for an age, but it finally looks set to arrive for a nice weekend.

Some patchy light rain today, heaviest in North and odd shower tomorrow but very low rainfall totals for next 7 days as weather finally improves.

Met Éireann forecasts temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees, dropping to lows of 4 to 8 degrees overnight. Friday will follow a similar pattern, bringing some sunny spells amid a largely cloudy day with some patches of light rain or drizzle.

Highs of 11 to 13 degrees are expected, though overnight temperatures could hit lows of zero to 6 degrees. The coming days look dry and mild, with some light rain or drizzle at times.
