Met Éireann upgrade weather warnings in number of counties with intense weather shift coming

Met Éireann have issued and upgraded weather warnings in a number of counties as extreme weather shift is on the horizon for some over the weekend.

The counties currently under a yellow rain warning for this coming Saturday are Clare, Limerick, Waterford, Galway, and Mayo.

With Cork and Kerry currently under an orange rain weather warning for Saturday.

Looking to Met Éireann's national forecast for the upcoming weekend:

Saturday: "Wet and breezy with showery outbreaks of rain, heavy at times with some localised flooding likely, especially for southern counties. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees in fresh south or southeast winds."

Saturday Night: "Wet at first with widespread outbreaks of showery rain, gradually becoming confined to the north and east by morning as drier and clearer conditions move in from the southwest. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees with southerly winds falling light."

Sunday: "The last of the overnight cloud and rain will clear the north and east in the morning to leave a day of sunny spells and scattered showers, heaviest and most persistent in the south and west. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees in moderate southerly winds, fresher for the west and southwest."
