A number of Kilkenny schools have confirmed they will not re-open on Monday, January 6 following the Christmas holidays due to the deteriorating weather conditions. SEE LIST BELOW.
An orange snow-ice weather warning is in place for Kilkenny until 8pm as the county grapples with severe weather conditions.
Further falls of sleet and snow leading to significant accumulations can be expected in Kilkenny.
