The tree fell in Bennettsbridge
Earlier this morning, a tree fell down on top of a major road artery in County Kilkenny.
The tree fell in Bennettsbridge at the creamery yard on approach from the Thomastown Road.
The road is a primary artery between Bennettsbridge/Thomastown/Inistioge and Kilkenny City.

Council services are working to clear the damage.
Meanwhile, a major tree collapse has blocked the main road from Thomastown to Inistioge.
The tree fell very close to Thomastown, on the Inistioge road, not far from Dangan Terrace on the outskirts of Thomastown.
