BREAKING: More flooding returns to Kilkenny as rain batters county

After a week of difficult weather conditions, persistent rain is once again causing difficulties for communities across County Kilkenny.

Kilkenny County Council have advised The Quay in Graigunamanagh is closed due to flooding with people asked to avoid the area.

Meanwhile, the Gowran to Bennettsbridge road is currently still passable but extreme care is advised.

A Status Yellow rain weather warning is in operation until midnight (tonight) on January, 29.

That warning issued by Met Eireann applies to Kilkenny as well will as counties; Carlow, Dublin, Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow as further heavy rain and showers are expected.
