Pictures: Kilkenny hurlers to hold open training session in Nowlan Park tonight

Derek Lyng’s team begin preparations for the All-Ireland semi-final next month - check out Vicky Comerford's pictures from last year

Just days after winning that fifth Leinster Senior Hurling Championship title on the trot - and a 76th success in total - Kilkenny will throw open the doors for a training session in UPMC Nowlan Park tonight (Wednesday).

The Kilkenny County Board have confirmed that there will be an open training night for all supporters. Training will begin at 6.45pm with gates opening at 6pm. Entry is via Ardán De Grás on the Hebron Road and everyone attending is urged to come along in their black and amber gear as Derek Lyng’s team begin preparations for the All-Ireland semi-final next month.

The County Board is also asking everyone to co-operate with the stewards on the night and park responsibly. Meanwhile, have a look here at some of the pictures from the great open training session last year!
