Scything in the Abbey Meadow, Callan

A mini festival with a difference will take place in Callan this Friday.


Start your evening with meadow scything in the Abbey Meadow, Callan, with the Acorn Project. From 5pm to 7pm they will demonstrate, teach scything and scything maintenance as well as talk aboutthe importance of grassland biodiversity.

Afterwards, stroll over the bridge to Fennelly’s for a wonderful gig with Cork quadruple Rasa Nua and a lively evening of food, wine, music and dance.

Rasa Nua are Jorge Kachmari, Dara O’Brien, Tim O’Leary and Pal Allot. They play Indian jazz music.
