The Muskeg Collective will perform in Fennelly's of Callan this Thursday
An Alaskan group of songwriters will perform in Fennelly’s of Callan this Thursday (September 5) in what promises to be a very special evening of live music.
The Muskeg Collective (Annie Bartholomew, Josh Fortenbery, Erin and Andrew Heist, Taylor Vidic) are five songwriters based in Juneau, Alaska who came together to support one another’s work. Each member has their own distinctive voice and style and regularly perform as individuals, but when they come together, they create a sound that is all their own.
Their music is rooted in American country, bluegrass, and folk traditions but the lines and boundaries quickly become blurred. With each member of The Muskeg Collective being an experienced musician and performer, their shows feature a wide variety of tempo and style with members often swapping instruments and harmony parts, and even throwing in some traditional flatfoot dancing! Their members have received international press and been featured in Rolling Stone Germany, NPR Music, Americana UK, Wide Open Country, and more.
Tickets are €15, doors open at 7pm and the show begins at 8pm.
