Family Fun Day - Graigue-Ballycallan GAA Club & St Brigid’s Camogie Club

Don't miss the Graigue-Ballycallan GAA Club & St Brigid’s Camogie Club Family Fun Day

The Graigue-Ballycallan GAA Club & St Brigid’s Camogie Club Annual Family Fun Day for 2018 will take place on Saturday September 1 in Tom Ryall Park, Kilmanagh.

This fund-raising event has now become a family favourite in the parish over the past few years and its continued success is due to the outstanding support it receives from locals and visitors alike. This event has become instrumental in the club’s fund-raising efforts as costs continue to rise in running a modern GAA Club.

The Executive and their Committee are appealing for your generosity once again. In particular, we are appealing to people to donate trailers of timber (no trailer too small!!), which will form part of our popular Timber Auction on the day.

All types of timber will be gratefully accepted. In the past the local community has always come up trumps with their support for us and we hope that this year will prove no different. If people wish to donate a trailer-load or indeed have timber (but no access to a trailer) please contact Family Fun Day Committee Members John Ryan (086) 330 7139 or Tom Walton (086) 407 1284 with your details. With your help we can make Family Fun Day 2018 the most successful to date. Thank you for your continued support.

Calling all home bakers - A big part of the Family Fun Day is the opportunity to call in to the kitchen for a cup of tea and to select a bun or slice of cake from the wonderful array of confectionery that local home-bakers produce for the event every year.

Family Fun Day Committee are calling on all in the parish to get baking and would be very grateful for donations of buns, cakes, tarts etc which will make this year’s culinary display the best so far.

Sports Gear Appeal - Another of the attractions at the Family Fun Day this year will be our first “Used Sports Gear” Shop. We are appealing for donations of any used and previously loved items of sports gear that you may have lying around the house gathering dust.

In particular we are looking for jerseys, track suits, half-zips, hurls, hurling balls, boots, helmets, gear bags etc. All donations can be left in to the clubrooms or contact Club Secretary Philomena Brennan (086) 065 58 54. Remember this year we want used sports gear only.
