Understanding Dementia - presentations at Kilkenny Libraries

In association with Healthy Ireland,  presentations on “living with dementia”  will take place at several loca venues.

Loughboy library will host a presentation on Friday next, January 18, starting at 11am. The speaker, clinical nurse specialist, Caroline Clifford has over 20 years experience working with people with dementia and their families.

The presentation, “Understanding Dementia” is the first step to living with dementia, explaining what dementia is, how people can live well with the illness, the support services on offer and what to expect when someone close to you is given the diagnosis. All are welcome to attend.

Callan library in conjunction with Healthy Ireland is hosting a talk by Caroline Clifford on Living with Dementia on Wednesday 23rd January at 11am. 


This talk will explore how people can live well with dementia and what supports are available. Dementia is a condition that touches nearly all families so this is a talk which will be worth attending
