The pass rate for vehicles at the Kilkenny NCT Centre is 57.18%, newly released figures have shown.
Deansgrange in Dublin had the highest pass rate with 62.65% of cars passing there.
Abbeyfeale was the next highest, with 60.58% of cars passing with Killarney at 59.87% and Portlaoise at 59.81%.
The lowest pass rate was in Derrybeg NCT Centre in County Donegal which had a pass rate of just 40.01% while only 45.83% of cars passed their tests at the centre in Carlow.
Cars tested in Cavan town and Clifden in Galway also didn't have a high success rate, with just 42.25% and 43.96% of cars passing inspection in the last 12 months, respectively.
A total of 1,396,024 cars were tested last year. This was down on the 1,418,852 inspections carried out in 2021.
In total, 14 testing centres had pass rates of below 50pc, while the national average was 54.29pc in 2022.
This figure was a little over 1.5pc up on the previous year.
