Tuesday was a busy day in Kilkenny for the local Roads Policing Unit as they were joined by the RSA for a number of multi-agency checkpoints.
Over 50 HGVs and 20 buses were checked and although the vast majority were compliant, three vehicles were seized and taken off the road for various offences.
One HGV was found to be out of tax for 1515 days and over 3 years out of CRW.
A learner permit holder also tested positive for cannabis and was arrested and now faces prosecution.
