Major accessibility upgrade approved for school in Kilkenny

Bunscoil McAuley Rice in Callan has been approved for funding to improve accessibility in the school under the Emergency Works Scheme.

A new school lift will provide access to nine classrooms, five learning support rooms, school library and computer room on the first floor of the building that is currently out of service for wheelchairs.

Confirming the news, Kilkenny TD John McGuinness stated that he was 'delighted' that the funding was approved.
