Summer 2023 star line up for Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre

The award-winning Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre in Kilmanagh, County Kilkenny, is today announcing its much-anticipated programme of events for summer 2023.

This year will see the welcome return of The Stunning, following hugely successful gigs in previous years, for what’s sure to be another lively night.

LYRA will perform at Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre on July 29, 2023

One of the most striking talents to have emerged on the Irish music scene in the past few years, Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre will also play host to LYRA, who will serenade the audience with an exciting, vibrant sound.

Fans of ABBA will be treated to an evening spanning their extensive repertoire with tribute band ABBAesque taking to the stage, while a welcome addition to the 2023 line-up for country music lovers is Lisa McHugh, one of Ireland’s leading country pop singers.

Also on the programme are the instantly recognisable The Riptide Movement, while renowned Irish folk band Stockton’s Wing will return to the Kilmanagh venue. Critically-acclaimed folk band The High Kings also play the venue this summer, while the Dublin Gospel Choir will uplift the audience with powerful voices and rich harmonies.

Another new addition to the bill, the amphitheatre will play host to The Big Generator, a seven-piece band which will take the audience through the evolution of classic rock with hits from some of the best-selling artists of the past four decades. With their uniquely powerful and dynamic sound, Cry Before Dawn take to the Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre stage as they prepare to release their first new material in over ten years.

The ever-popular Chapterhouse Theatre Company will return with an open-air production of the classic Sense and Sensibility for what’s set to be a magical evening under the stars.

Nestled at the foot of the old Ballykeeffe Quarry, Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre, which is run entirely by volunteers, brings the authentic atmosphere of an open-air Italian theatre to the quaint Kilkenny countryside.

Matt O'Sullivan, Chairman of Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre said at last night's launch, "We are delighted to announce our stellar programme of events for 2023, which we feel has something for everyone. The amphitheatre is truly becoming bigger and better each year, thanks to all of our hard-working volunteers, generous sponsors and amazing supporters. We're looking forward to another bumper summer and welcoming both new and familiar faces to Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre."
