Permission granted for works at school in Kilkenny

Permission has been granted conditionally for works at Our Lady of Lourdes National School, Slieverue, County Kilkenny.

The school sought the provision of a new 2250mm high boundary wall to part of the south boundary of the existing school, a new vehicular and pedestrian entrance to the west boundary of the existing school and additional car parking to the west side of the existing school.

Also sought were new security gates and fencing to the existing play areas and a new extended playground area to the north side of the existing school.

The school also applied for retention of the existing external access doors to the east and south elevations together with all associated ramped and stepped access.

Kilkenny County Council granted permission, subject to five conditions, on July 31, 2023.
