Miss Kilkenny sparkles at Miss Ireland finals

Kilkenny's Caitlin Raven stunned judges at this year's Miss Ireland selection and made it to the last six in the competition!

The final took place last Saturday, and our local representative was a star!

Thanking everyone for their support, Caitlin said it was an unexpected achievement for her.

The Urlingford lady  is 21 and a student of social care at TUS. She also has Type 1 diabetes. But one of the core messages Caitlin brought to the Miss Ireland competition was  "to show people that all disabilities hidden and shown, big and small are beautiful." 

She also took the opportunity to fundraise for the Make A Wish foundation as part of the pageant process.
