Gardaí in Kilkenny were shocked at what they discovered in a vehicle that was stopped over the weekend.
The motorist was originally stopped by gardaí for holding a phone however this proved to be 'the tip of the iceberg', a garda spokesperson confirmed.
"Next the throttle pedal (see picture at top of article), hard to work out that one.
"We're going to have to let our PSV inspector have a look."

Gardaí then confirmed that the driver was disqualified and they were subsequently arrested.
The message from local gardaí continues to be 'drive safely and arrive alive'.
