Staff at Supervalu Loughboy have donated €3,742 to Cois Nore Cancer Support Centre from funds that were raised by them last year.

At the recent cheque presentation, Cois Nore Manager Mary Dolan thanked John Burke and all the staff.

"This is such an important year for Cois Nore as we embark on the refurbishment of our new premises on the Waterford Road which will allow us to increase the number of people we support," she said.

"We really appreciate staff initiatives like the one undertaken by the staff at Supervalu Loughboy to raise funds for charity and to know that they are behind us as we continue to build cancer support services for the people of County Kilkenny. Customers who support these fundraising initiatives will I am sure, be reassured that not only are they shopping locally but they are also giving locally as well."
