Big Busk events in Kilkenny raises funds to help the homeless

Kilkenny musicians were out in force last Friday as part of the Big Busk, a fundraising event for Focus Ireland.
Events took place in a number of locations in Kilkenny City.

At MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre performing artists included Patrict Canning, Gwen Blanchfield, Kilkenny College, Luke Whitty, Amy Kennedy, Sean Kelly, Oisin Mac Cinneide, Shane Fogarty, Mary Anne Hickey and the High Hopes Choir.

Meanwhile at the Market Cross Shopping Centre on High Street the SOS Kilkenny drumming group entertained shoppers and raised funds for Focus Ireland.

Nationally the Big Busk for Focus Ireland raises €380,000 for vital homeless services last Friday, with the final total yet to be tallied.
