A very special art exhibition will take place in St Patrick’s De La Salle School in Kilkenny later this month.
On April 24 children can view the exhibition from 10.30am till 1pm and parents can come and see the art exhibition and purchase their children’s art from 1.30pm to 3.30 pm and from 5.30 - 6.30pm. Some profits will go towards buying school resources.
A school spokesperson explained that the event is organised by Images School Art Exhibitions which is run by Justin Gillespi.
“Images Art Exhibition fits well with the new art curriculum allowing children to look and respond to their own work as well as to work done by others. Justin has been running these events for several years and has had great success in this area. It enables children to look and respond to their own work along with the work of their friends. Looking and responding is a key strand of the visual arts primary school curriculum in Ireland,” said the spokesperson.
