A popular Kilkenny facility may be about to return!

Cllr Peter 'Chap' Cleere has asked Kilkenny County Council if it would be possible to reinstate the diving board in the picturesque town of Graignamanagh.

"We had a diving board for seventy years without incident,” he told officials at the latest full meeting of Kilkenny County Council.

"I understand that it was taken down a number of years ago for insurance purposes. Can we revisit that decision?"

Director of Services, Sean McKeown, stated that an assessment can be carried out in relation to the issue

"We cannot guarantee its return," he added, flagging that providing the adequate level of lifeguard cover may be an issue.
