In aid of the cause the local man will run 10km each day for 30 days to raise awareness for mental health while growing a beard in the process.

"Mental health has been something I've been a silent advocate for ever since seeking help for my own issues six years ago. I believe it needs to be spoken about more & we are losing one too many young souls daily, which is unacceptable in my eyes," Brennan-Smyth posted to his GoFund Me Page.

"I thank you all so much for your kind donations & make sure to check out my socials for daily updates," he concluded.
