Exciting new facility installed in Kilkenny

Kilkenny County Council have confirmed an exciting new facility has been erected in South Kilkenny.

Inistioge Tidy Towns have installed a new water refill station in the village close to the sports pitch. This initiative aims to reduce the use of single-use plastic bottles, helping to keep our environment clean and litter-free.

Earlier this year, the local authority adopted its inaugural Climate Action Plan.

The Plan sets out how the Council will respond to the climate crisis by improving energy efficiency, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and embedding climate resilience across the organisation. It also addresses how the Council will adopt a leadership role in the county by supporting local communities, businesses and other stakeholders to take climate action.
