Severe wind warning remains in place in Kilkenny until midday

STORM EOWYN: Almost all of Ireland under Red Warning as Met Eireann warns Storm Eowyn is danger to life

A level orange weather warning remains in place for Kilkenny until midday today.

As Storm Éowyn continues to pass over Ireland gale force southwest to west winds will bring severe, damaging and destructive gusts of up to 130km/h widely, with even higher gusts for a time.

There are reports of fallen trees, damage to power lines and power outages.
