Mass unavailable to hundreds in Kilkenny parish

Owing to technical issues from the supplier the broadband hub in Tullahought Community Centre remains out of action. The spill off has seen none of the Sunday Masses streamed for over a month.

Poor broadband has hit the area hard in recent years. Many people in nearby Windgap first highlighted the poor connectivity service in their area at the start of the pandemic, with remote working and learning severely impacted by poor quality mobile voice and broadband options.

In April 2022 their coverage was considerably improved following the installation on a new broadband structure.

Meanwhile, after two months of works, regular mass returned to St Nicholas Church in Windgap in February. 

It is now hoped online streaming of masses can return to the benefit of both communities.
