A planning application has been lodged for a new residential development comprising 22 detached houses on a site surrounding Glendine House, Glendine Road, Kilkenny.

The proposal, submitted by Raggett Homes (Glendine) Limited, outlines plans for three four-bedroom dwellings and 19 five-bedroom dwellings.

The development will also include approximately 2,763 square metres of public open space.

Additional features will include landscaping, new planting, boundary treatments, public lighting, and associated utility connections.

The proposed scheme includes a new vehicular entrance off Glendine Road, which will provide access to both the development and Glendine House.

The planning application, received by Kilkenny County Council on May 19, 2025, is accompanied by a Natura Impact Statement (NIS).

A decision on the application is expected by July 13, 2025.
