Revenue officers have seized illegal drugs, alcohol, cigarettes and counterfeit goods worth an estimated €688,200 in a series of operations carried out between June 16 and June 23.
The seizures took place in Dublin, the Midlands, Kilkenny, Waterford and at Rosslare Europort, following intelligence-led operations informed by risk profiling.

Among the confiscated items were:
Much of the illegal drugs were intercepted through parcel checks in Dublin and the Midlands. The parcels, sent from countries including the United States, Canada, Belgium and Spain, were addressed to various locations around Ireland. Revenue’s detector dogs Enzo and Ciara assisted in the finds.

The alcohol, cigarettes and counterfeit goods were uncovered during separate operations. Three weapons were also recovered in the Midlands.
Revenue confirmed that the counterfeit goods were identified in consultation with intellectual property rights holders. Investigations into all seizures are ongoing.
