Kilkenny County Council have announced the launch of a dedicated webpage for The Tholsel redevelopment project, which it describes as 'an exciting initiative aimed at preserving and revitalising one of Kilkenny’s most iconic landmarks'.
The new online platform will serve as a central hub for information, updates, and public engagement as the project progresses toward its completion in 2027.
The Tholsel, a historic building at the heart of Kilkenny’s civic life, is undergoing an ambitious redevelopment.
The newly launched webpage offers visitors a comprehensive overview of the project, including:

Mayor of Kilkenny, Cllr John Coonan, welcomed the initiative, stating that the 'interventions proposed to The Tholsel building, which is much loved by the people of Kilkenny, will help safeguard it long into the future'.
"This project is about more than restoration—it’s about honouring our past while building a vibrant civic and cultural future for our city," he added.
