RIP: Kilkenny parish holds remembrance event for popular community man

The Kilkenny Easter Environs group planted a Mountain Ash tree in Lacken Drive last weekend in memory of Mick Dooley. Mick, a former president of the club, is fondly remembered by all in O’Loughlin Gaels. - A 2025 INTERVIEW WITH MICK IS AVAILABLE HERE

In addition to his work for the club, he was a great supporter of many other community activities, and it was great to see his memory commemorated near his home last weekend.

Local Fianna Fáil councillor, Pat Fitzpatrick attended the ceremony and paid tribute to Mr Dooley.

"Mick may have left this world but he will never be forgotten for all his Great work in the club and the community," he said, adding, "well done to all involved in organising this special event."
