Frances Bradley is well known in North Kilkenny for her involvement in community work.

She has been involved with Castlecomer Credit Union since the early days in 1967 and was regularly a director but nowadays engages with committees. In the past she was involved in roles in a voluntary capacity which today are outsourced to professionals.

She is also heavily involved in St Mary's Church of Ireland in Castlecomer and has been the parish treasurer for the past 27 and a half years. She is also a parish reader and diocesan reader and is the caretaker in the parish church.

Frances is also involved in the Mothers Union, which is an organisation which promotes the well being of families.

She has also been a member of the Moneenroe Community Council for many years and performed in countless Muintir na Tire contests. She is actively involved in a number of textile groups including the Knit and Stitch group and the Knattering Knitters.
