In total, licence revenue is down nearly €3.7 million since the controversy emerged
Recent reports suggest that RTE has lost millions in funding through the television licence fee since the recent scandal over undisclosed payments to star presenter Ryan Tubridy.
New figures show TV licence revenue has continued to tumble in August's first week, with €900,000 less revenue collected than in the same week last year. In total, licence revenue is down nearly €3.7 million since the controversy emerged.
As many as one in four people appear not to be paying the €160 charge. Meanwhile, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has appealed to members of the public to pay it.
What do you think? Have you paid the fee - and will you continue to do so? Take our poll and let us know.
