Vote for your Kilkenny People player of the month
Kevin Kelly
(St Patrick's, Ballyragget)
What a month he enjoyed. He put his name all over the intermediate hurling semi-final when scoring 3-11 against Tullaroan. He followed up by scoring 0-10 against Graigue-Ballycallan in the final. Enough said!
Willie O'Dwyer
(Mullinavat)
The former Kilkenny senior panelist turned the clock back in the senior quarter-final draw and replay against Dicksboro. Through the power of his hurling he nearly called the number of the eventual county champions.
The Player of the Month scheme returned in September after an absence of some time, and when it came to voting there was a massive response from the general public.
There was some talent to vote for then, and the class in contention to win the Seiko watch in October is no less sparkling.
To be honest, the Selection Committee had some job whittling down the contenders to three, such was the rich choice available.
