“As Old as Time” by solo artist Kylie Garrehy

Kylie has created a world of literary enchantment with her Junk Kouture project, where discarded books are reborn as a structural nod to her love of reading.
Her outfit is inspired structurally by the fashion of the 1500s Shakespeare as well as contemporary interpretations such as Taylor Swift (Kylie is a self confessed “swiftie”).

She used a combination of materials such as old books, burlap sacks and yarn cones to create her structural ensemble.

This eco-friendly creation not only celebrates the love of reading but also advocates for literacy, reminding us that every page holds the power to transform minds.

As someone with dyslexia, Kylie feels it important to promote literacy within schools which is paramount to shaping informed and empowered individuals.
