Well done to Mariia, Yana & Oleksandra. Inspired by an interest in East Asian fashion and a love of wildlife, a mesmerising ensemble has been crafted from up-cycled bed sheets, repurposed plastic cups, and donated fabrics.

This unique outfit not only showcases style and an eye for construction and shape but also carries a poignant message about the plight of wild forest ecosystems, highlighting the devastating impact of waste on these vital habitats.

The fox (whom the girls have chosen as their muse) often represents intelligence and adaptability.

However, the encroachment of waste into their habitats serves as a poignant metaphor for the challenges they face.

These resourceful creatures navigate a changing landscape disrupted by discarded materials, impacting their ability to thrive.

The symbolism of the fox takes on new dimensions as we reflect on the consequences of waste, urging us to consider the broader ecological implications of our actions on these resilient creatures and indeed other beings and their ecosystems.
