On Count 5 the last two seats of the Castlecomer LEA were filled on Sunday last as Michael Delaney (FF) and Maurice Shortall (Ind) secured election.
Mr Delaney's election confirms he will serve for the second successive term after he first secured passage to the local council chamber in 2019.

Cllr Delaney told Kilkenny Live he thought 'the game was over' after unfavourable Saturday tallies and was 'delighted' to get over the finishing line this evening (Sunday).
