An annual sale of works and a Family Fun Day will take place tomorrow (Sunday) are features of TASK’s marking of National Mental Health Week at its base in the Old Auxiliary Hospital in Kilkenny.
The family fun day will feature: Face painting, apple pressing (bring your own apples and containers!), kids' treasure hunt, upcycled furniture, art exhibition, music, refreshments.
TASK (Training and Support Kilkenny) is a rehabilitative training programme for adults, part of the HSE’s mental health services. TASK helps people to improve and maintain mental wellbeing, develop coping strategies and self-care skills and primarily regain confidence. Based in the Old Auxiliary Hospital complex in Kilkenny, TASK has a studio space in the main building, a workshop for upcycling furniture and a garden and horticultural project.
The annual sale of works opened in a marquee on the grounds of the Auxiliary Hospital on Wednesday. The TASK Family Fun Day will be taking place on Sunday, October 13 from 2-5 pm at the Auxiliary Hospital (Wolfe Tone Street, Kilkenny, R95 WC8W).
