A Castlecomer-based actor is one of the cast leads in a new five-part drama, currently streaming online.
In 2022 a small group of independent Irish filmmakers gathered together to create the first part in what would become Midlands Mayhem.
Over the following three years they developed this series independently.
The series consists of five episodes with a run time of two and a half hours. It’s a comedy crime series that’s inspired by Hardy Bucks, and Love/Hate.
Midlands Mayhem tells the story of a hard-partying group of friends in the Irish midlands who ineptly investigate when a mysterious figure from their past seeks revenge.
We follow Jared Ennis a former member of their partying group called the ‘Sesh Council’. After years living clean, everything is turned upside-down when a murder drags him back into the fold.
A local young man takes credit for the murder, vowing to rid the midlands of the crime and violence that the Council brings.
But it’s made clear to the Council that he’s not working alone.
All five parts of the series are now available on www.midlandsmayhem.com
