A dream to create a a space that will foster community connections, promote wellness, and ensure that everyone, regardless of ability or age, has a place to thrive, needs your help to get it over the line!
The Gowran Outdoor Hub will be a one-of-a-kind project designed to bring community, wellness, and inclusivity to the Kilkenny community. Imagine a 300-meter walking/running track, multi-use courts (tennis, basketball, and football), and a multi-sensory play area with a state-of-the-art centrepiece (the first of its kind in the Northern Hemisphere!).
Work is already underway, with the climbing frame and courts already taking shape, and it is expected the facility will be open to the community in the spring of next year.
However, despite generous financial support up to now, one last push from the community is needed to get the project over the line. Thanks to the generous support of the Kilkenny Leader Partnership, the town and village renewal grant, and other fundraising activities the project has already secured an amazing €395,000.
To finish turning this dream into a reality, organisers need your help! They are reaching out to the incredible local community. Every donation, big or small, will contribute to the success of the Gowran Outdoor Hub.
Your donation will not only see the project across the line but will also become a lasting legacy in the heart of Gowran. By contributing, you're investing in a space that will foster community connections, promote wellness, and ensure that everyone, regardless of ability or age, has a place to thrive.
Organisers ask that you share our journey, spread the word, and be a part of creating a vibrant space for generations to come. You can make a donation on the project's GoFundMe page here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/gowran-hub-fundraiser And follow the project's progress on the 'Gowran on the Move' Facebook page.
