Gripping play to be performed in historic Kilkenny venue

The production will take place at the Medieval Mile Museum on September 24
The Medieval Mile Museum will host The Reincarnation of Cornelius Agrippa, a theatrical production by Wilderland Productions, based on historical events later this month.
Cornelius Agrippa was a sixteenth-century scholar, writer and controversial thinker whose interests included theology, philosophy, law, medicine and the occult. His life unfolded during a period of major religious and political change in Europe, and his reputation endured long after his death.
The play, already touring Ireland since late 2024, unfolds across two gripping acts. The first reimagines Agrippa’s legendary trial, with arguments drawn directly from historical records. The second explores the devastating consequences of his defence, both for Agrippa and those around him. Told from the present day, the story blurs past and present, with the audience themselves drawn into the mystery of why Agrippa has returned
The production explores the remarkable story described as “the only witch trial in history the Inquisition lost”, bringing together history, intrigue and theatre in the atmospheric surroundings of the Medieval Mile Museum.
