The event, hosted by John Cleere, will feature Meg Dunphy MCIPD and Richard Mooney discussing sustainable organisations and adapting to technological change, with a focus on practical experience and open conversation

Tech Thursday returns to Kilkenny on Thursday, September 17 with an evening exploring how organisations build resilience, how people respond to new technology and how businesses can learn from one another.

Taking place at Harry’s Bar, Langton’s, from 7.30pm to 8.345pm, the event will bring people from different companies and sectors together for two conversations, followed by informal networking.

Hosted by John Cleere, the event will feature Meg Dunphy MCIPD, Policy and Engagement Manager at CIPD Ireland, and Richard Mooney, VP Product Management, SAP Analytics Cloud at SAP. Meg Dunphy will share Five Steps to Designing Sustainable Organisations, exploring what makes companies resilient and how people, performance, trust and wellbeing can work together.

Richard Mooney will explore Do We Ever Change Voluntarily? His conversation will examine how businesses learn and adapt as technology changes the way people work, including the pressures that influence organisations to do things differently.

Tech Thursday is built around an enterprise-led approach. The focus is on practical experience, open conversation and learning between people working in real organisations.

As technology develops faster than traditional training can keep up, businesses need more opportunities to exchange ideas, compare experiences and learn directly from one another. The event offers a space for people to step outside their own workplace, hear different points of view and make useful connections.

John Cleere said: “The way people learn at work is changing. Businesses cannot rely only on formal training or wait for someone else to provide all the answers. People already have valuable experience inside their organisations, and there is a real opportunity to share that knowledge more openly.”

The event is free and open to everyone. No technical background is required. Places are limited and booking is available through Eventbrite.
