Ladies of Kilkenny enjoyed a tranquil night of glitz and glamour last Thursday in Lyrath Hotel’s stunning Oasis Spa. People from all across the South East attended the ‘Evening of Serenity & Skincare’, which was held in celebration of the spa’s recent success in the 2018 Irish Tatler Spa Awards.
MC for the event was Kilkenny camogie icon Tracy Millea, who likened visiting Oasis Spa to “entering a completely different environment”. Tracy spoke of her great experience with the spa’s renowned Neuroli treatment, which is a top-to-toe procedure involving reflexology and facial cleansing, that promises to connect body and mind.
The evening began with drinks in the hotel’s elegant Atrium, where attendees enjoyed sampling the finest beverages on offer from Kilkenny’s own Ballykeefe distillery. The complimentary glass of gin and tonic was just the beginning of what guests received for their €30 ticket. There were also delicious nibbles on offer, including chicken skewers, spring rolls and filo prawns made by Lyrath’s Executive Chef Kenneth Murphy.
Skincare demos were then carried out on model Trish by Amanda Conroy, the area manager for Elemis skincare over all of Leinster. Amanda spoke of the many benefits of the Biotec facial technology. There are eight different options for a Biotec treatment, to suit every possible skin type. One particularly popular treatment is an anti-aging procedure that significantly reduces wrinkles, in which oxygen is pumped into the skin. Amanda hailed Biotec as a “natural step that is still quite advanced, for people who are hesitant to go for an invasive treatment”.
Sammy Stacey, an ultra glamorous Waterford makeup artist, then treated the audience to a demo with the Fuschia range, full of many innovative tips, including how to apply winged eyeliner with an arts and crafts brush.
As a memento of the wonderful evening, attendees were also given a gift bag, containing €20 vouchers for all of Oasis’ products and gift sets. The gift bags also contained chocolates, Ballykeefe Distillery discounts, Elemis samples and much more.
There were also special offers available exclusively on the night, including a variety of reduced gift vouchers, which will serve as the perfect Christmas stocking filler in the coming weeks!
Another highlight of the evening was the raffle, offering magnificent prizes such as an Elemis Gift Set, Afternoon Tea in Springhill Court Hotel, Fuschia Make Up Products and much more, with all proceeds going to the ever-worthy Pieta House charity.
Raffle winners weren’t the only lucky guests of the night, however. The coveted Best Dressed Lady title went to the stylish Ann O'Neill, who turned plenty of heads in her stunning leopard print dress from TK Maxx.
Ann won an overnight stay for two in Lyrath Estate Hotel for her daring ensemble.
