Kilkenny County Council clear up rubbish left by 'g*******s'

A local councillor has called for CCTV to be installed on the Old Ballyragget Road from Castlecomer after a gob smacking incident of dumping in North Kilkenny.

Independent, Cllr Maurice Shortall has proposed CCTV be installed to 'deter more illegal activity which is distressing to the residents'.

"If you can afford a 42” TV you can afford a bin for your rubbish," the local councillor posted to social media.

"Shameful what the residents in this area have to put up with. This has been reported to environment again and they don’t need this constant headache from gobshites," he added.

Subsequently, the Castlecomer based local representative thanked Kilkenny County Council for their swift removal of the rubbish.
