RIP: Over €5,000 raised for 'beloved' Kilkenny man

Over €5,000 has been raised by a local company in memory of a Kilkenny man and 'beloved' former colleague who sadly passed away.

Ger Doran died this week aged just 31, leaving a heartbroken family behind.

In his memory and to support his family financially, Cybermaxx have set up a GoFund Me Page which has garnered huge support by members of the local community so far.

"With sorrow and deep sadness CyberMaxx mourns the loss of a beloved colleague, Gerard (Ger) Doran of Kilkenny," a post to the GoFund Me Page read.

"Ger was a cherished member of our Ireland Security Operations Team (SOC) team since March 2018 and contributed immensely to the business during his tenure."

"Ger’s warmth, dedication, drive, intelligence, passion and his friendship will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure to work, and more importantly, to know him," the post added.

"Ger leaves behind his wife Chloe, who he married in September 2021, and who stood by his side lovingly everyday. The loss of Ger at such a young-age places financial pressures on Chloe for which we are seeking heartfelt donations for the benefit of Chloe as she mourns the loss of her loved husband and best friend."
