RIP: Widely known and liked Kilkenny figure passes away

The late Phil Larkin

The death has occurred of well known Kilkenny figure and proprietor of Larkin's Grocery and Bicycle Shop in the city, Phil Larkin.

Mr Larkin passed away on Sunday, January 12, peacefully, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his daughter-in-law Ruth. 

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Phil, his daughters Margaret, Máirín, Eimear and Philly, sons John, Mikey and Tommy, his brother Michael, sisters-in-law Ann and Maura, brother-in-law Sean, daughter-in-law Emer, sons-in-law Johnny, Gary and Paddy, his adored grandchildren Phil, Emma, Jane, Seán, Ali, Tom, Hugh and Patrick, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Johnston's Funeral Home, John's Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Tuesday, January 14 with Funeral Prayers at 6.15pm followed by removal to St Patrick's Church, College Road, Kilkenny.

Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to Foulkstown Cemetery.
