Olwen Brady

The death has occurred of Olwen Brady, The Ring, Bennettsbridge, and formerly of Kilree, Bennettsbridge, Co. Kilkenny.Olwen passed away on February 19, 2025, peacefully, at University Hospital, Waterford. Predeceased by her beloved mother Georgina (née Murphy) and infant sister Amanda Jane. Olwen will be dearly missed by her loving daughter Jenna, father Billy, brothers Trevor and Niall, sisters-in-law Caroline and Liz, nieces Evie, Alice, Anna and Grace, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Requiem Mass for Olwen will be celebrated on Saturday,  February 22, at 11.30am in St. Bennett's Church, Bennettsbridge. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House is strictly private please.

 

Kathleen Cullen

The death has occurred of Kathleen Cullen (née Bolger), South Green, Arklow, Wicklow / Kilkenny, on February 19, 2025, peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the exceptional care of the staff at Wicklow Hospice, Magheramore. Kathleen beloved wife of the late Jimmy and loving mother of Adrienne, James (Jim)(Kilkenny), Emma and the late Michael (Mick), predeceased by her parents Thomas and May, dearly loved sister of Peter, Johnny, Tommy, Albert, Alice, Mary, Bridie and the late Nancy, Liam, Mickey and Paddy, adored nanny of Yasmine, Saskia, Michael, Adam and Jimmy, great grandmother of Finley. She will be sadly missed by her loving, daughters, son, grandchildren, great grandchild, sisters, brothers, daughter-in-law Michelle, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Kathleen will be reposing at Hudson’s Funeral Home (Y14 PT80) on Sunday from 4pm to 7pm, with removal on Monday afternoon at 1.20pm to The Church of Saints Mary & Peter, Arklow, (via South Green) arriving for Mass at 2pm, followed by burial in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Arklow. House private. If you wish you can join in the celebration of Kathleen’s funeral Mass via Webcam | Arklow Parish | Diocese of Dublin

 

Ann-Marie Delaney (née Caulfield)

The death has occurred of Ann-Marie Delaney (née Caulfield), Ballynevin, Cullohill, Co. Laois and formerly Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny, February 20, 2025, peacefully, in the presence of her family, in The Oak Ward, University Hospital Waterford. Predeceased by her husband Liam and parents Jim and Rita. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her children Aaron and Zarah, daughter-in-law Laura, her adored grandchildren Liam, Darragh and Donnacha, brothers Shem, Pauraic and Paul, sister Marguerite, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at her residence Ballynevin, Cullohill (Eircode R32 PH34) on Saturday, February 22, from 3pm until 7pm, pausing for Prayers at 6pm. Removal from her residence on Sunday to St. Tighernach's Church graveyard, Cullohill arriving at 2 pm for Interment Prayers and burial. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to The Irish Cancer Society. House private on Sunday please.

Jane McDonough

The death has occurred of Jane McDonough of 11 Dúnan, Thomastown/ Gowran, Co. Kilkenny. A loved and respected member of her community. Jane is survived by her son Daniel, daughter Katie and her three siblings, Neil, Clare and Owen, along with a wider extended family.

Jane will be reposing at Meylers Funeral home The Quay, Thomastown from 6.30pm to 8pm on Friday, February 21. A humanist funeral will be held for Jane in the Thomastown Community hall, on Saturday, February 22, at 11am, followed by removal to Mt Jerome Crematorium Dublin for service at 3pm. There will be a small ceremony at Mt Jerome for anyone who wishes to attend. No flowers to the home address please. Should anyone wish, Donations can be made in Jane's name to Hilltop Sanctuary, A charity very close to Jane's heart. Donation box will be provided in the hall. Betty Morrissey (née Comerford)

The death has occurred of Betty Morrissey (née Comerford), Fainleog, Donaghmore, Kells Road, Kilkenny. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at Blackrock Health, Dublin on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Pre-deceased by her son Vincent and her sisters Mary Ellen and Joan. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, her husband Séan, daughters Miriam, Sinéad and Shirley, sons Gerard, Noel, Nicky, Seanie and Ian, sister Lena and brother Tom, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, son-in-law Séan, daughters-in-law Caroline, Georgina, Laura and Orla, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing in Molloy's Funeral Home, Callan, (Eircode R95 Y443), on Friday, February 21, from 5pm concluding with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 8pm. Funeral arriving to St. Patrick’s Church, Kilkenny (Eircode R95 VX96) for Requiem Mass on Saturday at 11 am. Burial will follow afterwards in St. Kieran's Cemetery, Kilkenny. House private please. Michael O'Dwyer

The death has occurred of Michael O'Dwyer, "Garvaghey" College Gardens, Callan Road, Kilkenny, and formerly of Emly, Co. Tipperary. Michael (former teacher at St. Kieran's College) passed away on  February 19, 2025, peacefully, at home. Beloved husband of Anne and much loved father of Donagh, Tomás, Aideen and Caitríona. Michael will be dearly missed by his wife and family, daughter-in-law Pauline, son-in-law Ultan, grandchildren Michael, Dylan, Aishling, Cian, Isabelle, Tara and Marianne, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours, friends and former work colleagues at St. Kieran's. Michael is predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary, brothers Martin and Bill and sister Mary.

Reposing at his home in College Gardens (R95RF8Y) on Friday, February 21, from 3pm to 8pm with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 2pm in St. Patrick's Church, Kilkenny (R95 VX96). Funeral afterwards to Foulkstown Cemetery, Waterford Road, Kilkenny. The Requiem Mass will be live streamed HERE
