Robert Blackmore

The death has occurred of Robert Blackmore, College Gardens, Callan Road, Kilkenny and formerly of Crosscannon, Killenaule, Co. Tipperary. Robert passed away on March 9, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Beloved son of Robin and Heather and dear brother of Harvey and Pierce. Robert will be dearly missed by his loving family, grandmothers Maura Blackmore and Rita Lett and her partner Billy Moore, uncles, aunts, cousins, his friends and extended family at Bród and Aurora, Kilkenny.

Reposing in Johnston’s Funeral Home, John’s Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Wednesday, March 12, from 5pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 12noon in St. Mary’s Church, Killenaule (E41 TH73). Funeral afterwards to Rathcoole Cemetery, Fethard (follow the road signs from E91 ET82). House private please. The Requiem Mass will be live streamed:

Teresa (Tess) Brennan (née Wall)

The death has occurred of Teresa (Tess) Brennan (née Wall), Woodsgift, Co. Kilkenny, on March 10, 2025, peacefully in the presence of her family in the loving care of nurses and staff at St. Columba's Hospital Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny. Predeceased by her husband Seàn and her brothers and sisters. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her son John, daughter Virginia, daughter-in-law Caroline, son-in-law Pat, grandchildren Patrick, David, Katie, Anna and Eva, great grandchildren Ollie and Emily, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Doyle's Funeral Home, Urlingford (Eircode E41 XO38) on Tuesday, March 11, from 5pm until 7pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to St. Patrick's Church, Graine arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. 

Margaret Coll (née O'Keeffe)

The death has occurred of Margaret Coll (née O’Keeffe), Derdimus, Callan Road, Kilkenny and formerly of St. Fiacres Place, Kilkenny. Margaret passed away on March 9, 2025, peacefully, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny. Beloved wife of the late Dominick and much loved mother of Richard and Marian. Margaret will be sadly missed by her loving family, sisters Ann, Mary, Teresa and Carmel, brothers Paddy Seamus, Richard and Michael, son-in-law Tim, daughter-in-law Sinéad, grandchildren Frankie, George and Katie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends. Margaret is predeceased by her parents Patrick and Molly and brothers Seán and Eddie

Reposing in Johnston’s Funeral Home, John’s Green, Kilkenny on Thursday, March 13, from 10am with funeral prayers at 11.15am followed by removal to St. Patrick’s Church for Requiem Mass at 12noon. Funeral afterwards to Foulkstown Cemetery. The Requiem Mass will be live streamed HERE

Andrew Harte

The death has occurred of Andrew Harte, Aylesbury, Freshford Road, Kilkenny, on March 7, 2025 (unexpectedly) at his home. Beloved son of Sue and much loved nephew of Joe, Sean, Noeleen, Marie and Ger. Andrew will be deeply missed by his mother, uncles, aunts, cousins Ciara, Suzanne, Michael, Alan, David and Neil and by his large circle of good friends.

Requiem Mass on Tuesday, March 11, at 12noon in St. Joseph's Church, Foulkstown followed by interment in the adjoining Cemetery.

Matt Kelly

The death has occurred of Matt Kelly, 4 Radharc Oisín, Killeshin Road, and formerly of New Oak Estate, Carlow and originally Shankill, Paulstown, Co. Kilkenny, on March 10, 2025 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Beloved husband of the late Rita and much loved father of Denise, Matthew, Maureen and Anthony. Sadly missed by his loving sons, daughters, sons-in-law Jimmy and Brian, daughters-in-law Nicola and Mel, grandchildren Adrian, Kieran, Liam, James and Aidan, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his grandchildren Seán and Grace and by his siblings Paddy, Sadie, Nancy, Eileen, John and Michael.

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow on Wednesday, March 12, from 4pm to 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am in St. Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu to St. Fiacc’s House. Donate here

Kathleen Knox (née Brennan)

The death has occurred of Kathleen Knox (née Brennan), Margaretsfield, Kilkenny City and formerly of Donaguile, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny, onMarch 10, 2025. Predeceased by her father, James Brennan and her brother Damien. Kathleen will be sadly missed by her husband Joseph, daughters Donna, Rebecca, Ava, Lesley-Ann, sons Keith and Damien, Mother Norah, grandchildren Maisie, Cathal, Gairoid, Charlie, Sam, and Daniel, uncle Jimmy, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, extended family, relatives and family.
