The death has occurred of Marie Coyne (née McCormick)

Sandfield, Freshford Road, Kilkenny

Marie passed away, in her 97th year, on March 24, 2025, peacefully, surrounded by her family in the wonderful care of the staff at Gowran Abbey Nursing Home.

Predeceased by her husband Brian, son Quentin, daughter Fiona (O’Mahony) and infant grandson Brian. Beloved mother of Breen, Johnny and Caroline. Marie will be sadly missed by her family, her grandchildren Hugh, Rebecca, Jessie, Natalia ,Luke, Isabelle, James, Cian, Grace and Sadhbh, great grandchildren, sons-in-law Tony and Willie, daughters-in-law Susanna and Barbara, extended family and friends.

Reposing in Johnston's Funeral Home, John's Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Thursday (March 27) from 5pm to 7pm with Prayers at 6.30pm Requiem Mass on Friday afternoon at 2pm in St Mary's Cathedral, Kilkenny. Funeral afterwards to Tullaherin Cemetery, County Kilkenny.

The death has occurred of Jeremiah (Dermot) Connolly

Freshford, Kilkenny

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeremiah (Dermot) Connolly.

Jeremiah of Freshford, County Kilkenny peacefully passed away at his home on March 20, 2025 at the age of 91.

Jeremiah was much cherished and will be greatly missed by his loving daughter Una, son Brian, extended family and circle of close friends.

Reposing in Kennedy's Funeral Home, Freshford R95 C44T on Friday evening from 6pm to 7pm A service will take place in Newlands Cross Crematorium on Saturday at midday followed by cremation. Burial to follow at a later date in St Lachtain's Cemetery, Freshford.

The death has occurred of Margaret (Peggy) Kennedy (née O'Dwyer)

Roscrea Road, Templemore, Tipperary / Knocktopher, Kilkenny

Peggy Kennedy, (nee O'Dwyer), Roscrea Road, Templemore, Co.Tipperary, and formerly of Barrettstown, Knocktopher, Co. Kilkenny, died on the 25th March 2025. Predeceased by her loving husband Brendan. She died peacefully at home in the warm embrace of her family. She was a cherished mother to her daughters Bernadette, Collette and Geraldine, an adoring grandmother to Niamh and Olivia and will be sadly missed by her sons-in-law Jim, Tom and David, and nephew John.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Requiem Mass at 12 noon on Friday, March 28 in the Church of the Sacred Heart ,Templemore, followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery Templemore.
